The Tectite by Apollo 1/2 in. Push-To-Connect x 3/8 in. O.D. Compression Quarter-Turn Angle Stop Valve is designed to control water flow to plumbing fixtures such as toilets and faucets. The Angle Stop Valve is used where the water pipe enters the room to allow for easy shut-off of water flow to the end fixture allowing for maintenance and repair without having to turn water off to the entire home. The 3/8 in. O.D. male compression outlet allows for the integration of supply lines for connection to the end fixture. Tectite by Apollo push-to-connect stop valves are the cleanest and simplest way to gain flow control on copper, CPVC, PE-RT and PEX pipe without the use of tools, solder, open flame or glue. Simply insert the pipe to allow the high-strength stainless steel teeth to grip the pipe securely against the specially designed O-ring. Stop valve removal and reuse is just as simple using a simple demount clip (sold separately). After assembly, fittings may be rotated for simpler installation in tight spaces. All Tectite by Apollo stop valves are approved for use in both potable water and hydronic heating piping systems.

A:Â Is there another valve in the line that may be shut-off?
All Tectite push fittings are sold with a white tube liner in each inlet/outlet. If using PEX pipe, keep the white tube liner in and if using copper or CPVC, take the white tube liner out.

Answer This Question
A:Â If you do it correctly with a tool and recut the end of the pipe you should be able to do it as many times as you wish. But if the pipe does not connect or disconnect properly you can damage the connections. Always best to just do it correctly once.

A:Â As long as the Tectite fitting is removed with a push fitting removal tool or demount clip and the end of the pipe has been squarely cut, you may reuse the push fittings as many times as you would like.

These are a lifesaver if you have a situation where the valve is connected directly to Pex tubing and you don’t have any Pex tooling.
Cut tubing and press on and you’re good to go. This is an excellent option.
