Product Details

The 1 in. Tectite by Apollo push-to-connect x MNPT Adapter allows you to make a connection to 1 in. pipe using a Push-To-Connect connection and provides a 1 in. Male NPT adapter on the opposite end. Tectite by Apollo push-to-connect fittings are the cleanest and simplest way to join any combination of copper, CPVC, PE-RT and PEX pipe without the use of tools, solder, open flame or glue. Simply insert the pipe to allow the high-strength stainless steel teeth to grip the pipe securely against the specially designed O-ring. Fitting removal and reuse is just as simple using a simple demount clip (sold separately). After assembly, fittings may be rotated for simpler installation in tight spaces. All Tectite by Apollo fittings are approved for use in both potable water and hydronic heating piping systems.

A:  Yes, it is normal for your Tectite Push-to-Connect fitting to spin on copper, CPVC, and/or PEX pipe.

    Q:Why doesn't Tectite publish correct information regarding pipe insertion depth dimensions. For 1/4" Tectite fitting I have seen four different dimensions. ALL of them WRONG. The correct dimension is 11/16". Not 1-1/8" as Tectite Support Jerry posted.

    A:  Tectite Push-to-Connect insertion depth dimensions are: 1/4 in. = 0.82 in. 3/8 in. = 0.94 in. 1/2 in. = 0.95 in. 3/4 in. = 1.10 in. 1 in. = 1.31 in.

        A:  The Apollo representative is stating that the min temperature for these fittings is 32?F across a working pressure of 200 psi. Other Apollo technical bulletins suggest the temperature range is 0?F to 250?F. What is the correct range? Was it changed?
