This tool is constructed from plastic so I had my doubts. It actually worked great. slipped it on the pipe pulled up on the fitting and it slid right off. Interestingly the fitting was not a big name brand so I should think it would work fine on big name connector. this is definitely going in my tool box for future use. small in size , simple to use, lightweight it certainly will be no burden to have, on hand, all time for any handy man

This tool works great if you need to remove the shark bite connectors that just push together. You can remove the shark bite and then put it back on. This tool fits snug around the pipe and it can only be used for 1/2 inch piping. You have to hold it over the shark bite and then bang down with a hammer to remove the shark bite fitting. Great little tool.
