Good product, good value. Very easy fit onto ½” copper pipe, and removal was also very easy (see pictures). I did not have the half-moon removal tool, but I used an adjustable wrench and it came off easy as pie (see picture). Easier than my experience with a similar product of a different brand. Very secure fit, and also a better value than a similar product of another brand.
This is a terrific temporarily solution to stop water flow until permanent repairs can be made, although it can easily be used as a permanent stop for stub out if needed. Good to keep it around in your tool box for emergency use. I would recommend this to a friend.

Wax on, wax off... sorry, wrong train of thought. These pipe end caps for most types of 1/2" pipe (not PVC however) are simply push on for secure closing off, either temporarily or permanently, piping not in use but easily removed with an appropriately sized shark-bite tool if need be. Best part is that they are easily re-usable since no soldering or gluing is involved.
