3/4 in. x 24 in. Galvanized Steel Pipe

Good product – straight – good threads. Good value for galvanized pipe. The diameter of the pipe is 1.054 which is .004 over the spec for schedule 40 Three Quarter inch steel pipe. 1.050 is the spec for the schedule 40 pipe. The length is 23 31/32 for this pipe The plastic end caps are nice in that they keep the pipe threads nice and clean before you use them. Galvanized pipe is generally used to carry water, where Black steel pipe generally is used to carry gas. Alternative uses of Steel pipe include clamps, furniture, and as tools. We plan to use this pipe to make some furniture. We like the galvanized finish for painting, as there is no preparation work. You just need to wipe it down with a household cleaner and paint it with your favorite rust-oleum or made for metal spray paint.

That pipe worked just what I wanted

I received the 2 feet long ¾ galvanized pipe today from Home Depot for a valuation. I have an EMT Conduit Bender that requires a 3/4 galvanized pipe for its handle. Currently, the handle is only 4 feet long and adding the extra 2 feet to the total length will give me greater leverage in bending the EMT tubing for electrical work, and the option to use a shorter pipe if space is limited.
