Redi Niche
I just finished installing a Redi Niche. The product is great. It saved time. Tile was installed right on it. I recommend this product.

I needed at least 12" high on Niche. I thought this would do the job, but the INNER dimensions are much smaller. Make sure you get the right size. Otherwise, installed properly.

Expensive but solid time-saver
I had one month to remodel our bathroom and went with a pre-made niche to save time and a potential headache. It fit with all my materials and worked out great. Before installing it, I laid the back-tiles, a marble mosaic. I did this down in the basement and it saved some time as well as struggle to lay it vertically once installed. I tried, but failed, to measure where the niche would meet a grout line so it would seamlessly sit on the wall. It did not work out well as my tub sloped bit and I took the measurement from the tub from a high spot. I made a frame for it and screwed it in. The cement board ended up being flush with it and I caulked the gaps. Finally, I cut and laid marble tile around the edges and tiled around it. It came out okay and I had no issues.

Easy to use, nice size.
We used the whole Tike Redi system, two niches and the shower pan. Worked out fine and happy with the end results. A bit pricey for what it is. The big niche fit a 12" high tile and we had no problem with the Versabond adhering.

Easy to install
Fit perfect between the studs! the thickness of the flange is 1/2" so, after i attached it, I added another sheet of 1/2" cement board around it to make it flush. note: all 4 sides are pitched down/out for water drainage already, so you can attach the tile flat.

Excellent product, easy to install.
The product came as advertised. The instructions were very good and it was easy to install. I'm very happy with it.

Wish quality was better.
This shower niche was just what I wanted, and Home Depot was the only place I could find it -online only - but when it arrived the quality was disappointing. The center box was good but the holes on outside edges used to hold the unit in place were off the edges, 1/2 were unusable and we had to make new ones. NO choice, there wasn't enough time to replace it. The finished product is beautiful because I had a good installer. I'm sure other niches arrive in great shape, I would tell others to order early - just in case.

Worth the price point
Seemed pricey at first but ease of install and guarantee of waterproof design makes this worth it. Adhered just fine with "VersaBond fortified thin-set motar", but additionally I roughed up the surface of the niche with sandpaper to insure bond.
