Product Details

The USG Donn Brand SDX/SDXL Acoustical Suspension System is the most widely used acoustical suspension system available. It is an economical, simple and versatile system that allows for maximum plenum access to utilities like electrical, plumbing and HVAC. Made with a galvanized steel body that inhibits rust, it is twist resistant, ensures paint adhesion, and offers a clean look without exposed steel edges. It also offers appropriate load-carrying capacities for acoustical panels, light fixtures and air distribution elements. Ideal for the commercial remodeler or do-it-yourselfer, the system has a patented quick-release cross-tee clip for easy installation and provides a square, sturdy ceiling that can be used for fire-rated or general applications.

A: Daryl Thank you for your inquiry. USG does not test grid per ASNT. However, USG does comply with ASTM C635 for structural classification. Main tees are classified as either Light Duty, Intermediate Duty, or Heavy Duty depending on the type. Hope this helps.

Worked well but the cross tees were not as large...

Worked well but the cross tees were not as large (tall) or as sturdy as most other 2 ft T,s I have used. Also very difficult to remove or change a T due to the latching method.
