Excellent Packaging! Beautiful Palm, as in Picture & Description! Will order as Gifts for Family!

First of all HD went above and beyond to help with this issue but were let down by there Vendor United Nurserys. I have a EF plant already and I wanted one for my office. So I looked at the website and there they were photographs of magnificent well proportioned EF plants. With the characteristics bulbous base on them and a long truck with the spreading foliage. Even the customer photos were good!!! there was some slight variation ( as stated in the website) but they had good proportions so I found my new EF. What I got was a 6 inch stemmed plant with no bulb at the base of the stem and foliage that totally obscured the unique stem these plants have. The foliage was so vast it resembled the clowns assistant in the Simpsons hair do. No elegance just a truncated Bush and nothing like what is on the website photos. I complained to HD, they did there best. I simply asked for something that was close to what I had seen on the website in proportions and with the bulb at the base. I sent pictures of what I got and what I already have. I suggested that if United Nurseries would send me a photo of what they would send me that was closer to what they advertized I would still keep the original and buy the second one as well if I liked it , if I did not like it then that would be that. They did not want to do that. Eventually HD had to take the bull by the horns. I was then sent a second plant paid for by HD. This plant, though better, still does not resemble the specimen plants that United Nurseries display to entice you to buy this unique plant. HD get kudos from me, but United Nurseries not. The misrepresentation given by United Nurseries photos to what you actually get is too great to be consider " slight variations". Buyer beware with this plant. the photo is of the first plant I recieved length against a normal pen. As you can see not the long stems as portrayed on the website.

Although the plant I received was healthy, it was not as big as it should have been for size picked and price paid. BUT I had a bigger problem, Plant was extremely well packaged and it arrived intact. When I removed pot from box, it tipped over and plant fell out. When I looked, I saw that original pot was filled at least halfway with fresh unused soil, then a bare root plant was added to pot and more fresh soil was mounded above the plant. See attached photos, I can't begin to imagine why it arrived like this.

This Ponytail Palm/Elephant Foot Palm is beautiful with its lush leaves, sturdy trunk and even a new baby plant emerging. How impressive: much taller, fuller, greener then ad pic and arrived looking like I just walked out from an in town respectable nursery instead of it having been shipped for days. It was still moist and showed no signs of stress. It was securely packed and there is no way it was going to move around in the box, fall over or spill dirt. This pic was right after we removed it from its packaging. I used a soda pop can to give you an idea of its massiveness. There isn't any yellowing, dry tips or damaged leaves; only a perky, healthy plant. In the past, I have not had good experiences with other foilage vendors and literally thought this is my last time...and only bought it because of Home Depot's guaranteed return policy. FINALLY, I have a reliable location to purchase my plants and not waste my money like before...A big thanks to the growers, shippers and Home Depot...WOW!!!

I am soooo happy with my new palm. The plant I received is much prettier than the pic on the website. Mine had 3 pups at the base. I'm looking forward to having it for many years to come. D. Francois

This Ponytail Palm is huge, healthy and beautiful! Surpassed my expectations, Love it!

Plant arrived yesterday (in chilly Minnesota) from Jacksonville (poor baby). The package was exceptional--design and functionality, the packing itself was obviously done with loving care. The plant looked good unpacked, and went to great after a couple of hours (recovered from its journey). It's as robust and large as the photo (the "pot" didn't come with it, I think I picked that up at IKEA). So much for my misgivings about ordering a plant from Home Depot!

Full and bushy. Love it!!!
