yes they are not super long but you can like them together to make longer ones.
They handle the wt of "the coils" suspended on cords & cables connected to PCs, printers, etc. When using w/ Outdoor extension cords, I use them to separate the various cords on a metal hanger/bracket. I do not use for suspending tools. Would probably work w/ hand garden tools, like weed removers, trowels, hand hoes or claws. I would test however you're thinking of using them in a controlled safe environment, where no one would get hurt & the item not damaged - particularly if the item will "hang" - & might be nudged or "pushed" by the wind > loosening the velco bond. Like using in the garden for plants - w/ & w/o trellises or such support - because it doesn't have heat-sink metal in them. And you can "connect" to branches semi-fixed, while you re-attach/re-adjust the strap on whatever you're restraining. Again because of wind agitation, beware that the wt involved & agitation may compromise the velcro hold. IF children are involved in using this product in such a way that they might get hurt if it releases - I would think more than twice about using for such.
Yes. Easily cut with scissors.
