I love this door! My shower remodel looks amazing. Make sure you or whoever is installing your door takes a moment to view installation video you can find online. ALSO, have at least one 2" SCREW for the installation. The ones provided by VIgo were too short for one side. Bar on the side where the door opens slid down a couple of times. The solution was to use a longer screw on that side (2"). I have made a suggestion to the Vigo design team to provide 2" screws.

I was very happy with this shower door until it exploded in the middle of the night. The movable side of the door shattered in millions of pieces. My contractor installed it perfectly. He has done a lot of work for me and everything he does is excellent. Vigo thought this may have happened due to installation. It was installed in Oct 2021 and was fine until July 2022. I am happy Vigo will replace the door but I will have to pay for installation.

I bought this for an overall bathroom remodel. I wanted something modern, stylish and as frameless as possible. It also had to accommodate a pretty small opening to the shower, due to the location of the toilet. I really couldn't use a swinging door of any type. The delivery was probably the most hair raising event. It came on a Fedex truck and was shipped lain across two separate pallets. The truck driver was alone and had to manage this thing our of the truck to the liftgate and into my garage by himself. The fact that it was on two separate, disconnected pallets became immediately obvious as you could see the package bending slightly, in the middle, whenever one end was hanging off the hand truck the driver had. It hung over the end of the liftgate all the way to the ground and I was pretty certain that glass was broken inside. But, I took pictures, just in case, and opened it immediately to find the very thick and rugged 3/16' glass components were intact and unscathed. Most glass for this application is only 1/4' thick and I have had panels just explode in my hands from setting them down funny on a hard surface. These could even be bullet proof....just kidding.... I chose to install it myself, with help from my son. I am an experienced DIYer and tend to ignore all the "get a professional to do it for you" advice in the instructions. It was one of the more intense installations I have performed myself but after looking through the directions several times and examining the components, I was confident I could handle it. We took the first day to just get everything measured and all the holes drilled and mounting brackets installed. I just installed a new cast iron shower pan and had no intention of drilling into that thing, so the VIGO-supplied door guide and bottom support bracket needed to be epoxy glued and dried before proceeding any further. Probably the most notable hassle was the wall seal applied to the fixed glass pane. Against the freshly tiled walls, it was almost impossible to move around with ease and made getting the fixed pane plumb and the support bar positioning hard to accomplish. One caution in the instructions is absolutely true: you have to have two people to move these panes of glass around. They weigh like 125 lbs each. I bought some professional glass handling suction cups to assist. In the end, we were able to get everything positioned and plumb, marked all the holes that needed to be drilled and the locations of the door guide and bottom support bracket. I also added an additional side support bracket, just to make me feel better about the pieces on the shower pan being glued and not screwed in place. Day 2 was just bringing in the fixed pane and fastening it in place and hanging the door. I will say that the instructions to disassemble the rollers for mounting were very unclear. We looked at those things for a bout 20 mins before we figured out the covers screwed off to gain access to the allen screws. But it was pretty straightforward, after that. Just about everything you have to bolt down on this door has some degree of adjustment built in, which is super handy. It helps you get the fixed pane plumb by giving you some adjustment on the support beam. The rollers have similar flex, allowing you to adjust the door if your wall isn't plumb. We used every single available adjustment and the door looks and operates very smoothly.

Love the sliding shower doors in my remodeled guest bathroom. My contractor installed the doors easily, No issues. He liked them too. Nice modern look. Only thing that would make it even better would have been a proper matching handle on the inside of the door as the outside. It only has a knob on the inside to open it.

I bought this after seeing a frameless bypass door at a Marriott. This is a top-quality door that makes your shower jump up a couple of levels. Only a couple of things to know. 1. It's heavy...you will need an assistant to help you (my 32 yo son helped me). 2. The included mounting screws are pretty short. You'll probably need to buy a box of longer good quality construction screws. 3. The instructions are really not that good, watch the video. Even then, there are a few things that are ambiguous, so take your time to avoid making a mistake. Study the instructions and video a few times to get comfortable with the installation. If you are good at DIY projects, you can do it yourself. On the sliding door side of the mounting bar I recommend using two screws (one at the top of the channel on the mounting plate after you've got the bar installed, and one in the middle or at the bottom), not one, to ensure the security of the bar. The fixed panel side is supported by that panel, so one will suffice there. When you first temporarily install the fixed panel and then mark the location of the pole mounting bracket, don't count on the fixed panel to hold the pole level. Instead, after you scribe around the fixed panel side bracket, then use a level as you mark the location of the pole on the sliding door side. Otherwise you are likely to be too low and you will have to make an adjustment later.
