Answer This Question

A:  Using Viagrow neem oil on crepe myrtles can help to protect them from insects and fungi. It is most common to use Viagrow neem oil as a preventive measure once a week for two weeks, The Viagrow Azadirachtin level is1700ppm so If you are dealing with an active infestation, it is advised to spray neem oil once a week because it should reduce the number of live insects and damage within two days. Viagrow Neem oil kills aphids on contact and protects against sooty mold. Thanks, Viagrow

    Answer This Question

A:  I use very sparingly on my aquatics vegetation that are hanging out of my aquarium. Wouldn't spray directly into water but since it is an oil. It usually raises to the top and then I grab a napkin or sponge and clean up the oil residue.

    by|Jun 16, 2021

A:  The SDS sheet says "This product is hazardous to fish and aquatic vertebrates.", so I asume the ansere is NO!

    by|Jun 21, 2021

A:  I read lots of information on the internet about Neem Oil and how to use it in the garden. I did not read anything specific about use near fish.

    by|Jun 21, 2021

A:  There is a study that says long durations of use is harmful to fresh water fish, so you definitely do not want to over use the product. I am not a scientist, but I would imagine nothing exists that is safe for everything.

Wow, makes 48 gallons, I hate to pay for water. What I like about this is it come concentrated so it does not take up a lot of room and I have plenty of water on hand to mix it myself. There is a funny odor as this is my first time using this oil for pests. I just hate applying chemicals to every thing, I think it is going to come back and haunt us even more then it does now. Maybe even grow an extra hand. In any event, this is low toxic impact to the environment and being concentrated even the packaging is minimal impact. The hardest part was getting the inner seal out of the bottle which I use as my measuring cup. Before mixing I shake it really well and then add it to my pump up bug sprayer to coat both sides of my plant leaves.

VIAGROW 32 OZ. COLD PRESSED NEEM OIL SEED EXTRACT, this is an all natural bug deterrent. I use it in a one gallon pump sprayer to spray my fruit trees and vegetable garden. The mixing ratio is located on the bottle, you must add one teaspoon of the extract to one gallon of water with a little dish soap, give it a good shake and off you go. I like this because I don't have to be concerned with getting chemicals on me. I have had a hard time this year with the gypsy moth on my trees, this seems to be working well to keep them away. The bottle i got says it will make up to 48 gallons. This product must be applied after every rain but it is easy to do.

I like that I can use this product and not hurt the beneficial bugs in my garden. I apply it in the evening when most butterflies are not flitting around. I don’t apply this to any leafy green vegetables such as lettuce, it would leave an oily residue that would be hard to remove. It does have detailed instructions that are easy to follow. I love to use organic when I can

Nothing fancy here, just a container of concentrated Neem oil that you need to dilute for use. The instructions are spare, and that's good. There are not a lot of warnings or massive instructions with this because, well, it is a natural product used for centuries. Of course, you shouldn't intentionally make contact or ingest the concentrate. Too much of anything is never good. But once diluted, with a bit of soap, you have a very affordable insecticide. I use this with confidence compared to some other "organic" solutions that still carry massive warnings. The neem works against my white flies and aphids, but let's be real, it doesn't knock them out like DDT once did. It takes a few applications to knock them back. It may not eliminate every one, but what is important is it significantly disrupts the population. All I need is to get rid of the massive infestation and my vegetables still thrive. I took off once star because my bottle came with a 1 year old manufacturing date and an expiration of later this year. I don't honestly think that matters much... but still. Perhaps I was just a victim of the supply chain issues this year.

Viagrow 32 oz. Cold Pressed Neem Oil Seed Extract is 100 percent cold pressed oil without additives. Many Neem oil products on the market are not as concentrated so be sure to pay attention to the dilution and mixing directions on the bottle. I have found Neem Oil to be an excellent maintenance spray for my vegetable garden as an insecticide, fungicide and miticide. It controls plant disease and insects, such as aphids, whiteflies, rust, powdery mildew, spider mites, blackspot among others at all stages of life without toxic chemicals. It is important to follow a regular schedule as indicated on the bottle to break the life cycle of pests and get best results. I always apply late in the day to avoid burning. This is a quality product at a good price.

We're trying to stay organic with our vegetable garden this year while also trying to not feed the garden pest population. Our worst offenders are cabbage and squash pests. This big bottle of Viagro Neem Oil is hopefully the remedy we need. It takes a little extra work since you have to dilute and add a few drops of dish soap before spraying the pests directly (the neem oil suffocates them rather than poisons them), and you want to spray at dusk after bees have left the garden - Neem Oil will kill them, too. We're diligently after vine borer moths right now, and a picture below shows a moth down for the count. So far, so good!

I like neem oil in this form. Being concentrated it takes far less space than when it is diluted and ‘ready to use’. The instructions for using are easy to understand and follow. Neem oil has an odor to it, but it is not at all unpleasant. (It does not have a ‘chemical’ smell to it.) I needed neem oil because I have a few fruit trees and I want to be able to protect the trees from insects and fungus that would hurt the trees and the fruit. Because it is a organic, I feel much safer using neem oil than I would a manufactured insecticide and fungicide. I also used the neem oil to control black spot on the 40 or so rhododendrons we have in our yard and our lot next door. Due to the number and size of the trees and shrubs that I have to spray I used a hose end sprayer. To do this I followed the directions (mostly). It said to use 1 ounce of neem oil per gallon of water. Well, because the neem oil is so thick and not completely liquid, I mixed it with equal parts of hot water to make sure it was in solution. Then for every four ounces of concentrate I added one ounce of liquid dish soap. I put this mixture in the tank of my hose end sprayer and dialed it to 2-1/2 ounces per gallon and used that to spray my trees and shrubs. I used the 2-1/2 ounce per gallon setting rather than the one ounce per gallon because I had diluted the neem oil with an equal part of water and then added the dish soap. The application of the neem oil with the hose end sprayer worked very well as the coverage was good and the job went fairly quickly. Clean up was easy as the neem oil is water soluble. I used one 16 ounce bottle of the neem oil and I had a little of the diluted product left over so I put it into the empty bottle and labeled as diluted and ready for use.

I am ready for almost any "pest" problem in the garden. I was not familiar with Neem Oil until it arrived. I read all instructions and then consulted the internet for additional information. This oil is a natural product that needs to be carefully mixed with water and soap as an emulsifier. The solution needs to be mixed and put into a spray bottle to use in the garden. Many insecticide products on the market contain neem oil. This neem oil is 100% cold pressed, contains no water or other additives and is 100% natural and biodegradeable. All of these features are extremely important. You still need to be careful when using any insecticide product but this one is natural and much more environmentally friendly which is very important.

I got this for creating a spray control insects and disease. After researching Neem oil as an insect control I learned it was important to make sure your neem oil has the main active ingredient of azadirachtin which this bottle lists. I use my eggplant as my gauge as it seems to be the tastiest plant for bugs. Since using this I’ve had NO, ZERO additional damage. I'm sold!!!! At the suggested mix ratio of 1 oz/gallon this 32 oz bottle should make 32 gallons but they say it will be good for 48 gallons (???), even 32 gallons will last me YEARS.

Here in South Florida we have an invasion of iguanas. They eat a lot of our decorative plants. We already tore out all hibiscus because they were eaten to just sticks. I started spraying our firespike bush with Neem Oil since the iguanas have now moved onto that plant. I was told it helps. It certainly has helped although I find that I need to spray daily. Hopefully the iguanas will learn over time that the bush is inedible. The Neem Oil is easy to use. I pour a portion plus water into our Ryobi portable sprayer and it only takes about a minute to spray the whole plant. Time will tell if it completely solves the problem but so far, so good.
