Villa Lagoon Tile's Spark C Coral is a 2-color, 8 in. x 9 in. hexagonal cement tile, using Smoky Coral and White mineral pigments. This is a true cement tile, made by hand in our South Beach tile studio and will have the rich variation and perfect imperfections of a luxury handmade product. Cement tile may be thicker and heavier than you imagine, so samples are recommended if you are unfamiliar with the product. This Villa Lagoon Tile geometric cement tile design, Spark C, literally radiates streaking beams from 1 corner to the other. Sold in boxes of 8 tiles. Overage of at least 10%-15% highly recommended, as additional orders may not ship from the same batch. All cement tiles MUST be sealed.

Hi Lisa! Absolutely cement tiles are great for outdoor patios. With proper sealant and care, they will age and patina gracefully. Even if left neglected for years, like hardwood floors cement tile installations can be resurfaced multiple times in their lifespan, as the color layer is several millimeters thick. Thank you! -John
Hi Estri! That will be a question better addressed by your sealant manufacturer. Resealing would be needed any time you see moisture change the color of the tile or grout. Most sealants should last several years, or perhaps longer if cleaned with a product that contains natural carnauba wax, providing a continually renewed protective coating. Thank you! -John
Absolutely, Gundla! With proper sealant cement tiles can be used on bathroom floors and walls, and shower floors and walls. Please make sure your installation professional is experienced with cement tile, and its sealant needs. Thank you! -John
I used them as flooring in my bathroom. They dry nicely if wet. I damp mop with vinegar. They are heavy tiles so may be more laborious to use in shower. I did however use them in the small niches in the shower.
Hi Gordon! Yes, absolutely. Make sure to discuss with your installer cement tile's unique sealant needs. Thank you! -John
Hi Emy! Absolutely, it can! Your installer will need to protect the installation from moisture, just like natural stone. For wet areas such as shower walls, we recommend using a high-quality penetrating sealant, such as Fila FOB or Miracle 511 Porous Plus. Please note there is also a regular "Miracle 511", which does not perform in this application as well as the "...Porous Plus" variant. In fact, there's a DIY Network show, "I Hate My Bath" which used our tile as a shower surround in Episode 200: "Pot O' Gold Bathroom". Thank you! -John
Hi Christy! Our tiles should meet the same standards of fire-resistance as a poured concrete floor, of their thickness, or installed marble. I would consult your installation professional about the fire-ratings of what is above, below, and beside our tile, such as a wood sub-floor below (though we recommend not installing directly on wood), the grout and mortar (below and beside), and the sealant applied to the top. Each potential sealant would have different properties, so please consult their manufacturers separately. Feel free to ask again here, or give us a call at 251-968-3375, if you have any additional technical questions! Thank you! -John
Hi Kso! That palette is formulated at our own tile studio, and does not correspond to any other cement tile manufacturer or paint brands. As a hand-made product, and due to the chemistry of Portland cement, there is natural variation in color. Many years ago we tried to maintain a "nearest match" list with a few major paint brands, but luckily there's a better, and more accurate way! Almost any Home Depot paint department should be able to scan a representative tile from your purchase, and custom-mix a color to match. If you need any more information, please feel free to call for support at 251-968-3375. Thank you! -John
Hi Kenzie! The Darkest color is Black (SB-2000). The Blues from light to dark are Atmosphere (SB-4000), Velvet Sky (SB-4002), and Malibu Blue (SB-4021). Finally, the yellow is Maple Sugar (SB-7010). All colors referenced are from our "South Beach Palette". Thank you! -John
