Majority of angled shoes purchased at the same time did not fit over round end! Had to force them on with a wood block & hammer (ended up cracking several & having to buy more) or use hammer on baluster itself to allow angled shoe to go on. It worked out, but should not have been necessary from everything I saw & read. Ordered online (not stocked in local store) so didn't want to extend project out by getting replacements with no guarantee that they will work as well. Maybe had a bad batch but lack of quality control on the 1/2 inch balusters & half inch angled shoes turned into a headache. Flat shoes worked just fine on the square ends! Buyer beware that it may not be as easy as advertised!
