Of the woods listed, Red Oak is the hardest. Birch is also a hardwood, but it is slightly less hard than Red Oak. Pine is a softwood and therefore significantly softer than both Red Oak and Birch.

"Sanded furniture grade solid oak ready for your custom finish." So, It doesn't come with a sticker that will have to be removed and leave an adhesive residue that will also need to be removed before it gets that "Custom Finish"?
Everyone that I have purchased has had the sticker on it. I remove the sticker and I use GooGone to remove the adhesive.
