I used this to pull water from underground tanks, about 18’ below surface. This foot valve worked great for keeping the line primed with water. I was impressed with how easy the valve opens to accept water. You could throw this in a pond, jig it and it will prime your entire suction hose with easy. Awesome!

I bought this to replace one I bought 10 years ago. I returned it because the 10 year old one that I thought was failing was not the problem. That said, these things last at least 10 years submerged in a lake.
