Didn't measure mine before I installed it, but I would think so.

Not sure. There is a recess in the medallion and I don't know how large you could cut it out without being into the decorative area.

Size is perfect. Used for 2 chandeliers mounted over 9 foot table. I preferred a simpler design but that one was only available in 20", which was too big for this application. These are fine.

After replacing a ceiling fan I realized that the person who installed the original unit had cut the hole just a touch larger than it needed to be and as a result the new unit had gaps at the point of connection.  They were small, but I'm a perfectionist and it really annoyed me.  Even though my wife told me it was barely noticeable and that I should leave it alone, I couldn't let it go and decided to add this to the base.  I'm glad I did.  For ten dollars this small decorative piece makes a world of difference.  It's attractive, easy to install, and adds just a touch of flare that really attracts attention.  Because the unit had a bit of gloss on it, I painted it a flat white to match the ceiling fan and it now blends perfectly.  It was very easy to paint, and it's virtually indistinguishable from the fan.  I put a bead of caulk around the base, although that isn't required, and it now joins the ceiling seamlessly. Compared to some of the more expensive models you can custom order--or touch at high end lighting stores--this has the same quality at a considerably more affordable price.  I liked it so much that I purchased three more to add to the other ceiling fans in my houses bedrooms.

Used theses medallions to cover the existing light holes when we hooked up new ceiling fans. For the record, they make installing the new fan a lot harder but they look great. Bigger ones would have looked even better but cost a lot more.
