Provides A Clean, Elegant Look To My Kitchen
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement electric coil cooktop for my glass electric cooktop which was very hard to clean and scratches easily. This cooktop provides a clean, elegant look to my kitchen, easy to operate and clean. It fitted nicely to my countertop opening that’s why no modifications were made when it was installed. This is my first Whirlpool electric coil cooktop and so far, I haven’t had any problems with the 4 burners. I really prefer electric coil cooktops over glass/ceramic or gas cooktops that’s why I hope appliance manufacturers won’t stop making them.

Beautiful stove!

I had bought another electric stove which ended up being too small for my kitchen counter opening, so my electrician referred us to a warehouse selling all kind of appliances, and I found this Whirlpool electric stove which barely fit in my counter and looks and works great!!

This is what was left after the fire department pulled the back wall out . I had to replace with your new stove to fit in a fifty year old kitchen cabinet..

It was easy installed and working good. The reason I gave 4 stars for this two of elements ate wobbly and reasonable price for this type should be undet $250. I paid around $340 but should be cheaper since there are no complicate electronic parts assembled. I remembered, when i replaced previous one, I paid about $160 similar model. "Other wise I could give 5 stars.

defective product
defective product, poor design, waste of time and money. Looks good only until you put overflow cups in dishwasher, then they discolor, then rust.
does not heat evenly, unable to fry foods as food gets grease soaked because heat drops to 165 after heating few minutes. Worst Whirlpool product I have ever owned. I have been trying to call Whirlpool for last six months about these problems and stayed on hold over 20 minutes several times at several numbers for Whirlpool that all have same message. Installed in April 2020. Does not meet my expectations and I am shocked that Whirlpool does not take product off market

Love this cooktop! My pots do not to have to be perfectly flat for them to heat up like glass cook-tops. My water boils so much faster. Plus I do not have to worry about my iron skillets breaking the top (that is why I had to replace my last one) The top cleans up nicely and does not leave scratches. Not sure why anyone would ever get a glass top.

It works, decals and indicator light are useless
The decals on my WCC31430AB have completely worn away and the indicator light stopped working. My husband and I know which knobs are for which burner but are looking at replacing the cooktop simply because no one, babysitters, parents, etc. can use the stove easily and I can't find any replacement decals for this Whirlpool model. So disappointinng

Needed to replace the electric stove top and this one the only one that we could find with coil burners. However, once installed I discovered that the top does not raise for cleaning inside the pan and around the edges, where food crumbs add up. Have had many electric tops through the years and this one is the only one that doesn't allow access for cleaning. So poorly made. I am VERY disappointed in the purchase.

Planned Obsolescence
The cooktop we had when we bought our house - which was three years old - lasted about seven years. So the cooktop was about 10 when it blew. And by "blew", it actually flamed up. I replaced it with the same model four years ago. The indicator light no longer works. The decals around the knobs have almost totally come off. And as far as "dishwasher safe knobs" go, they are completely rusted, which happened with the old cooktop as well. The burners are also rusting and falling apart. Very poor quality but these days, I guess you get what you pay for.
