      A:  It's measured by the foot. Maybe 12 feet long? not sure, I got one that was already cut down to 9 ft. It is not however 1/4" thick; it is less, like 0.200 inch.         A:  They come cut to 16 or 18 ft. But you can also cut them to the size needed for transporting.
