Q:What is the spring angle? The site says 45 and another question says 53 but I get 52 when I check.

Answer This Question

A:  According to the manufacturers specifications, the spring angle is 45 degrees. You have to remember your walls and ceiling may not be at a perfect 90 degree angle, due to settling and the type of finish drywall or plaster. So you may see a different angle when you place the molding against the wall. In addition the spring angle may vary due to the molding machine used and the type of material, pine, duglas fir or a hardwood such as oak. Mike

Product was nicely primed and straight. Quality mill work (profile) required no paint prep or patching. Just caulk the fastener holes and paint. Good product overall!

Home Depot has multiple vendors for their crown molding. I bought crown at different times and ended up with 3 different brands of crown. On one, the profile was not exactly the same at the top ridge, so the crown did not exactly match. The crown itself is fine, just make sure you match the same brands together, or be aware as to if the profiles are exactly the same.
