The Woodgrain Millwork 7/16 in. x 11/16 in. x 96 in. WM129 Pine Base Shoe makes a great transition between base moulding and flooring. Pine WM129 Base Shoe can also be used to cover gaps where flooring surfaces meet base moulding. Base Shoe is also used to cover small alignment challenges where hard surface flooring meets the wall.

what size & type of nails do i need to install??

AnswersThe base shoe is fairly small so even 1 inch finishing nails would risk splitting the wood. A penny nailer would be the best option in my opinion. I don't have one but I have a handyman who does. Going to hire him to help me install.

Ordered many in the past for my rental projects, my last order was 30pcs and yes, some of the moulding can be very wavy. If I think the nails would not help straightened out the wavy ones, I just used it in areas that needed shorter pieces. I stained or painted first (may take more than one coat) before putting them down. The price savings was amazing vs in store. Quality is solid and effective in it's function.

Terrible quality control. I purchased 20 pieces of shoe moulding and at least 4 pieces had ends that tapered from the correct profile to a tiny twig-like point (making the ends of those pieces unusable ). The winnowed ends measured anywhere from 6 to 24 inches.
