Great hole digger
We used this auger to set two 4x4 posts for our gate. The setup was easy and only a few pulls to get it started. This auger dug a 3 foot deep hole in about 2 minutes. Easy to operate and its not too heavy to carry from hole to hole. An extremely good product. We have about 38 more holes to dig for our garden fence and im sure it will be as easy as the first two holes were.

Instructions are terrible.
Instructions are written in broken English. I've read them thoroughly and it says fuel mix is 50:1, further on in the book it says 30:1mix. That's not it though... on the box it says 40:1 mix. What is the real mix? Haven't even got to use it yet!

Works amazing dug 6 holes 3 feet deep in under 25 mins roots rocks and all. Highly recommend.

Auger ran very well. Did have a bolt fail on the torsion spring, but was easy to replace and wasn’t a problem afterward.

Other reviews are correct, there's mixed information about the fuel/oil ratio. The manual also says to fill the gear box with oil, but I couldn't find the gear box plug they mention. I later realized it's because they changed it to grease with a grease zerk. It did start easily and ran great, but one of the pins connecting the shaft broke on my first hole when I hit a 1/2" tree root. It was easy to replace the pin though.

The head with the motor worked perfectly however the 8 inch bit didn't look very strong. That being said it did the job. However if you hit big rocks you'll have to dig them out by hand with a bar.
