Is the hardware marine grade stainless steel?
It is powder coated stainless steel and should not rust. We do not have anything specifying "marine grade", however lots of customers use our shower kits near coastal areas.
Does the kit come with any of the surface mounts? Any door hinges?
You buy the surface mounts separately but they are high quality and work well. I had to mount it to concrete and used their mounts with concrete screws. Drilled into the concrete and it has held up in the high winds of Tulsa OK. You can see the picture
ZP19011 surface mounts are sold separately from the Shower kit and will need to be purchased if installing over a solid surface that is not ground. Door box will include hinges and latch to install shower door. See installation guide for more information.
Can the plumbing for the shower be mounted on the wall of the enclosure?
It can be possible, but will depend on how you mount it. You might need to add some wood or material for support and we don't recommend mounting directly to wall itself without anything else. As the product is a DIY you are welcome to try different things to see what works for you.
I would not, the walls are not thick and probably wouldn’t support much unless you back it with wood. I was installing against a house wall so mounted the pluming to the house and left the back panel off of the product.
Can you purchase caps to put over the top front and back top railings/pieces if you do not want to put on the four decorative pieces?
We do not make other caps that will fit in those locations. If you find another cap or solution that works for you, you are welcome to do that instead.
Can this 3 x 3 enclosure with strips on top be supplied as a 3 x 6? I am looking for some additional space to hang towels etc.
We do not make a larger unit, only the 3' x 3'. If you are needing more material it will require you to purchase another unit and custom build it to make it larger.
What are the dimensions of posts on the bottom. I’m building a platform. Would 4’ x 3’ work?What
The footprint of the shower is 3' x 3'. You will want to have a platform that is 4' x 4' or larger in order to allow for adequate space for installation.
How many walls does the kit come with?
The Hampton Outdoor Shower comes with 3 walls and 1 door, creating a self-enclosed shower that will provide bathers of all shapes and sizes the privacy and environment to comfortably shower or change despite the curious gaze of any possible onlookers.
Can this fit properly agains the wall? Take one panel out?
It doesn’t fit flush but I used the back panel to fill the gap and it worked for me.
