"Direct acting integral bypass design" at what pressure is this feature activated?

Answer

I think it is set at the factory for 80 psi but can be changed. I didn’t fiddle with it and have not checked water pressure on a outside tap which is the only way to know what you pressure is being regulated to. The bolt on top of the regulator will increase or depress pressure on a spring loaded diaphragm to allow out put pressure to be changed. I think the maximum pressure was 300 psi on the input side but you would have to look at the specs for that information.

It is a quality piece that is precision machined and easy to install. Since it has double union connections with rubber neoprene gasket washers to make a watertight installation, it was painless as painless can be for this type of work.
