Wax and polishing
These microfiber towels are great for applying just about anything, wheel cleaners/waxes, scratch removers/rubbing compounds, waxes and ceramic coatings you name it. If you're buffing off wax I would go with a thicker microfiber towel with a taller nap to hold more of the dried wax residue. But wax is old hat, I would very much recommend an easy to use ceramic coating like Turtle Wax's Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating that I've used with fantastic results. It combines the deep shine and luster of carnauba wax with the protection of ceramic and it's very inexpensive. I don't believe Home Depot carries this line...yet...but they certainly should, hint hint. :-)
Are these microfiber cloths 4-ply?
They are not 4-ply but the size means you could fold them to to use that way if you wish. I have never heard of 4-ply microfiber. These clean well if that helps?
