A: I don't see an easy way to do that. You'd have to pry open the hinge slightly to slide out the holder, and the metal is pretty thick. If you installed it under a cabinet instead of on a wall, you could just turn it around. The open side of the hinge would be exposed but it might not matter.

A: I purchased this stainless steel towel holder for my boat after my plastic holder broke when someone bumped it. It is designed to hold a full paper towel roll and does not hang too low. It is sturdy, simple and works well in my galley.

Glad I found this on the website; works great for me. Solved a big problem for me with not having enough counter space for an upright holder or enough space under cabinets to mount a normal style but keeping it in reach of the kitchen sink. This sorta old fashion style holder works in my kitchen, I like that its plain and not ornate so that it doesn't stand out or compete with my other decor. its oil rubbed bronze finish matches perfectly with my overhead light and cabinet/drawer hardware. Very well made and sturdy.
