How do you get the bottom cap off
Hi, Tina - The cap on the bottom of the pump - by design - is supposed to be difficult to remove. Basically it just snaps on so you may want to try holding if with your shoes while you move the pump back and forth. The cap, by the way, as a push-pin type "stopper" in it with is integral to the function of the pump. Don't lose either part and spare parts are not available from this particular manufacturer. Can I pump water out of the sprinkler system with this?
Hi, Daniel - Very interesting question! The pump is designed to be used in standing water, like a pool, pond, sink, etc. Anywhere the end of the pump can be submerged. Hi. Need to pump water from a 5 gallon water cooler jug placed on the ground into a second water cooler jug 5 feet above the ground. What do you think? Possible? Thank you.
Hi Eddie, The suction end of the pump is 2" in diameter. This is wider than the opening on most water cooler jugs. If this does fit into your water cooler jug, than yes you could do what you are proposing.
