About This Product
The Empire 48 in. - 70 in. True Blue Extendable Box Level provides users with the most versatile performance with the ability to extend. The extension box level enables users to achieve a perfect fit in custom or odd size applications and constant surface contact for an accurate read across the full length of material. The adjustable sizing allows users to carry less with the ability to replace up to 3 level sizes and maintain productivity. The Empire patented e-Band Vial Technology provides users with superior readability & reliable 0.0005 in./in accuracy. The extendable level's mark & scribe edge allows for continuous scribing across the full length of the level, even when extended. The adjustable slide control mechanism allows for customizable friction fit resistance & long term performance. The Empire 9 in. Magnetic Digital Torpedo Level is ready to measure accurately when powered on & features auto-calibration allowing users to get precise digital readout immediately. The torpedo level features six measure display modes, enabling users to make precise measurements in a wide range of outputs. These include measurements in degree-tenths, mm/M. or percentage with the option to take rough-in mode measurements in degrees, in/ft. fractions or in/ft. decimals. Questions & Answers
Where is it made?
The accuracy " .1 in" doesn't make any sense. What is the accuracy in degrees or as a percentage? Thanks.
Does the empire 9 inch digital level in the degree mode have a positive or negative icon displayed on the screen ? I only see arrow up and down no + -
I’m looking for a narrow level that will fit in a crevice, preferably under 1” width. The dimensions on the site don’t make sense to me, saying the width is over 13”. Can someone confirm the dimensions of this level? Thanks
Does the digital readout work for the full 40"? If I'm leveling something that's 32" long, will the digital display show an accurate reading?
This question refers to the digital readout on the torpedo level included in the 2-piece set. The extendable box level itself does not have a digital readout. The digital torpedo level is 9" long. Therefore, it would not provide a digital readout for the full 40" of the extended box level. However, if you are leveling something 32" long, you can use the 9" digital torpedo level to check the level at multiple points along the 32" length.
Does in measure in pitch. Will it tell you what pitch a roof is
I don’t own this level but if it does not show the pitch, you can determine that by knowing the degrees which I understand it does do. You can then find a table (there are many online) of degrees of pitch.
Do both of these level extend? Or only the 24 ?
Both the eXT40 level and eXT78 level extend. Thank you - Social Team
Can you put it into x/12 units for measuring the slope of a roof?
Yes, this level can measure the slope of a roof in x/12 units. It offers multiple display modes, including in/ft fractions, which will show the rise over a 12-inch run. You can also use the degree measurement and convert it to pitch using a conversion chart or calculator.
