Q:Will this product remove built up car wax?
by|Sep 2, 2020
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: No, this product is not strong enough to easily and efficiently remove car wax upon first application. It requires hot water and repeated applications to remove wax. If you are looking for a wax removal product, we would recommend looking for something else. Unfortunately no Simple Green products work well at removing car wax.

Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate
Potassium Silicate
Max: Water
Triethanolamine
Ethoxylated Alcohol / Quaternary Amine Mixture Proprietary
Propylene Glycol Butyl Ether

So, some differences in ingredient, not sure how much of a difference it makes. I've used it to clean parts of my engine compartment, and it works well.

A: Extreme Simple Green Motorsports is a bit more aggressive degreaser and it contains an ingredient that protects aluminum and other metals against corrosion or discoloration even during long soak times. Simple Green MAX is a strong degreaser that is safe on most surfaces during brief contact times but con contribute to discoloration during longer soak times.
