          A:  This is from Alpine Corporation Web site: Iif the water cannot be taken out use a fountain cleaner as instructed in the manual and run the fountain. If you have no fountain cleaner available use 1 gal. H20 to 1 cap white vinegar.

            A:  Real user answer: with bird use, you will need to take the tiers apart every 2 or 3 days, and blast the bowls and pump with your hose. It is easy to dissemble. The water gets gross and and algae-filled, even when adding more daily. An algicide helps.
