The only product we manufacture that can go over tile in a basement is felt backed vinyl sheet flooring, but all of the paint would need to be removed from the tile before installation. A:  Good afternoon. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. Yes this flooring can be installed over a single layer of fully glued down linoleum. The linoleum will need to be stripped free of any waxes and polishes. This is not always the best installation method with VCT because installing over a layer of existing flooring does take away some of the durability of the new flooring. But it is acceptable. A:  The correct installation is to have a suitable underlayment, I'm sure Home Depot sells it. I suppose it could be installed over vinyl or linoleum if the surface was clean, secure to the subflooring, and scuffed to except a mastic suitable for such an installation. Thank you

A:  No, it can't be installed in a screened-in porch floor.

A:  Good morning Peter. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. The only way we can recommend this or any of our flooring for on a porch is if the porch is enclosed and has proper HVAC. Our floors are designed to be installed in areas where the temperature can be maintained between 55 and 100 degrees F.
