A: I glued many of mine (2 boxes) to 24" clapboard pieces with top edge exposed and used nail gun to secure into place. That way, it can easily be removed without much damage. Others I glued to foamboard and attached with nailgun. Other panels on my garage overhead doors, I just used Gorilla glue which worked like magic.

A: I used Gorilla glue (MUCH better than Liquid Nails). I also used a heavy-duty spray adhesive (not one recommended on the enclosed paperwork, just one off the shelf) on other panels to adhere either to the 24" clapboard pieces (thereafter hung with nailgun) or foamboard. That worked also. Gorilla glue has nearly no smell whatsoever and grips almost instantly. I am sure you could use a staple gun in between the peaks.
