Answer This Question
A: Hi Christie, thanks for the question. I'd recommend lightly sanding the cabinets before applying the primer and the paint. Sanding them will increase the adhesion of the primer to the cabinets. Good luck with painting your cabinets. -Ronald

A: Hi Louise, thank you for your question. As it turns out, we do not recommend any of our products in the tub area. Q:Does this paint work on counter tops

Answer This Question
A: Hi Kathy, thank you for your question. We do not recommend our Kitchen, Bath and Trim Primer on countertops. Our coatings are not FDA approved for direct or indirect food contact, and will start to wear down from all the constant cleaning, hot pans, etc. I suggest checking with your local store for a recommendation on a specialty product for your project. Have a great day! -Giovanna

Q:Two questions. Can this be tinted to a dark color? And, can this be used solely by itself or do I have to use this along with the Behr cabinet paint?
by|Apr 30, 2023

Answer This Question
A: Hi Michelle, thanks for the question. The Kitchen, Bath & Trim Primer can be tinted with up to 4 ounces of tint, but more than that would be needed to achieve a dark color. Also, the primer isn't designed to be left uncoated and would need to be painted over with either our Cabinet, Door, & Trim Enamel or one of our other interior paints within 30 days of application. Have a great day! -Ronald
