A:  As long as the column is inside of the wall- this application will be fine. The column would be inside the wall and have drywall or some other material covering the framing. If the column will be outside of the wall framing- exposed to repeated moisture, this product would not be suitable for that application.

      A:  The Versa-Lam column is for structural interior applications. It is not recommended for an exterior application.

        Q:Looking to replace joist in post and beam construction. Is this product rated for horizontal application. Have really low ceilings and nd to maximize headroom. Joist length would be 12.5 ft. Also would like to space joist 24 Inches apart.
