          Answer This Question

A:  Hi Rosemary, Rule of thumb is 10 watts per sq. foot and then add 25% for every 2 feet of ceiling after 8 foot (regular ceilings). So minimum of 3750 watts is needed and because that is in between actual watts of a unit it is always better to go higher than lower so 4000W would be good for the room. You can do 2 - 200W units or a mixture depending on the space you have to work with. Glen Dimplex Americas Customer Experience Team

A:  I had the same doubts/worries, but my electrician said this was exactly what I needed (except it’s shorter in length than the previous one which wasn’t available anywhere).  He installed it, and it’s kept the house just as nice as the previous, 2’ longer one. It’s been in there about two years now, and trouble free.

A:  HI Alexis, It depends on where you live a 240V In Canada is the same as a 220V elsewhere. You will be good if at 220V. Glen Dimplex Americas Customer Experience Team

A:  HI Alexis, Rule of thumb 10 watts per square foot, For ceiling above 8ft increase the wattage by 25% for every additional feet in height. Before you add the ceiling you are at 1856 watts but you need to round up once you have it figured out with the ceiling. Glen Dimplex Americas Customer Experience Team

A:  At the highest setting of 2500 watts which would be approximately 10amps you could use 14 guage if it's a dedicated breaker.

A:  Hello baseboardheater, The BTF2 has enough wiring to connect to the wiring of the unit as this is a thermostat that sit on unit. A good video to watch for install is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVh0looeRN0. Glen Dimplex Americas Customer Experience Team

A:  Good day, The rule of thumb is 10 watts per square foot. So with a 16x24 space, you would need 3840 watts. Therefore two heaters, one 2500 watts and one1500watts or two 2000 watts.Thank you.

A:  As this is the largest one stocked locally, I bought it to replace a 10’ one that was in place previously.  It has been more than sufficient to keep the room nicely heated on even the coldest days. Room arrangement might play a difference, certainly, however this should do the job.  I’m very happy with mine.
