A: Spidermites; I know because I had to throw out a cat palm recently, no way to get rid of them unfortunately and didn't want to have them contaminate my other indoor house plants.

A: Hi Dcharles,
Thank you for your question. Our plants are strictly meant for decorative purposes. Costa Farms plants are not intended for human or animal consumption. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Even if a plant is classified as non-toxic someone might have individual allergies that are not known. If ingested or used topically, they could be toxic. We ask that all plants be kept out of the reach of pets and children and never used for medicinal purposes.

Q:Is it best to transplant into the white planter, or leave it in the black pot in which it is shipped. Does it make a difference in the plants growth space?

A: Hi! Thank you for your question! You may leave the plant in the growers pot. You do not need to repot the plant until it becomes root bound or outgrows the pot it is in. Once it becomes root bound you may repot into a larger pot.

A: I left it in the black pot which fit perfectly inside the white planter.

A: It is not toxic at all in cats, they can eat it maybe, but without serious effect other than some discomfort, I have cats that's why I say it.
