Answer This Question

A:  This product is for Grouts made from Non-cement material like Fusion Pro Single Component Grout.

by|May 5, 2023

A:  The grout doesn't have any cement in it.

    by|Feb 11, 2020

A:  Non-cement means urethane, acrylic or epoxy grouts like Fusion Pro or Mapei Flexcolor Q. These don't have any cement in them. Custom Building Products also makes an Aqua Mix grout haze remover for the cement based grouts. Different types of grout require different chemicals to remove the haze material.

A:  For convenience, it would help customers if the instructions were posted here, like so many instructions/manuals for various products already are. Thank you, though, for mentioning the CBP website.

A:  I'd think it would work for that but the Cement version would work for Porcelain too.

A:  I don’t know if it will remove your residue but it can be used on porcelain. My grout was a pre-mix but I don’t know the brand. It worked with a lot of scrubbing.

A:  Full strength. Absolutely. And let it soak for 5 to 10 minutes...keep the stone wet. Scrub with white scrub pads, let it soak some more, scrub. Keep the haze wet with this product, soak, scrub. And use it sooner rather than later!

                                  Answer This Question

A:  This product is designed to be used with premixed grouts. Premixed grouts usually do not need sealing. If your tile is not glazed, you may want to preseal the tile or stone before applying the grout to help make it easier to clean after grouting.

Q:I have used this product to clean up after Fusion Pro grout was applied to my new floor and wall tiles. It has removed the haze but there is still some residual (from either the haze or this product) that on the tile. I have tried washing the tiles with mild soap and water but that did not help. Is there something else that I need to do?

A:  I used a premixed grout and it left a haze. The haze remover cleaned mine really nice, but I wiped it off with clean water. I kept changing the water to make sure it was clean. You could retry it and follow the directions to a tee.
