Q:Some build kits have a bushing, but its useless because every time you remove stem it drops in wall cavity.

A:  Thank you for your inquiry. Although they are not shown in the picture, there are three bushings that come with this kit that are used to attach the tubes.

    A:  If you're referencing the tube, it threads on. If you're reverencing the plastic cover (that covers the screw in the handle) it is a friction fit. You simply insert the cover into place.

    A:  The cover slips over the tube (that screws into the manifold). I usually use sealant around 3/4 of the escutcheon cover after that to clean up the install.

      A:  You need to tighten the nut nearest the stem. Take the handle (knob) off, then take off the tube covering the valve. Now, tighten the nut closest to you (the smallest nut). You tighten it with the smaller end of the tool they provided in the kit. That should stop the leaking you observed.

        A:  change out the middle washer to 9/16" ID x 1/16" DIA and it should fix it.

        A:  Thank you for your inquiry. It seems the diverter stem may not be installed correctly. Be sure to change the seat, and make sure the stem is turn as if the water were diverted all the way to the shower when installing the stem, so that the diverter washer seats correctly.           Q:We just replaced our tile and installed a Moen tub/shower faucet, including the Moen Posi-Temp valve behind the tiled wall. But, the Moen trim kit is a piece of junk - all plastic. We are looking for way to just change out the trim kit (not go into the wall), but need it to work with the Moen-Posi-Temp valve.

          A:  I'm sorry, I have no idea. Our faucets and knobs were old and nasty, but the only matching kit was this one. We have held onto the valves to replace if ever necessary. We took in one of the knobs and the plumbing man at Home Depot pointed us to the right product for what we had. I can't help you except to suggest you do something similar.

          A:  Thank you for your inquiry. No, this will not work with a Moen Posi-Temp valve. We do not offer an all metal trim kit for Moen valves.
