A:  I believe that they are fine for cement board fastening. Some cement board fasteners I have seen have a bigger head.

A:  No I would not use them. I would use the actual screws for hardie board or cement board. These screws are made for wood.

A:  They look similar but are not. There is a slight difference in the way it bites into the material. I would look for screws specifically meant for Hardee board. You could try these and it might work. But buying one meant for cement will be worth the ease as I’ve used the specific hardee board screws and they go in very easily.
