A: Hello Coyote,
We thank you for your question. The model DWFP2350K requires headless pin nails.

A: It uses headless pin nails. Most pin nails are marked with an arrow or something similar so they are not inserted upside down.

Q:does it have dry fire lockout?

Answer This Question
A: It will not fire when there are no remaining pins in the magazine. This is a very nice tool, I really like mine. A word of caution based on personal experience. Always keep in mind where that pin may go if it shoots through your piece or may deflect at a strange angle especially if joining composite trim pieces. 23 Ga pin is great for creating a barely noticeable fastening and it only leaves a tiny blood spot if it goes thru a finger (based on experience).

A: Low Pin Lock Out
The nailer is equipped with a low pin lock out which prevents the tool from actuating when the magazine is nearly empty. When approximately 10 to 12 pins remain in the magazine, the tool ceases to operate. (per manual)

A: Know the tools maximum PSI to avoid damaging the air nailer.
Be sure to have an easy to read, functioning air pressure regulator.
My air hose is rated maximum 300 PSI
That is almost double the maximum PSI produced by my air compressor.
The nailer works great with an in line water separator on the air hose close to the air compressor.

Q:this gun is for fine pinning, and thus should have fine control. I want a THIN air hose, 1/4 inch, with ends that are NOT BULKY, to allow easier control of the gun. I just want a 3 to 6 foot section of 1/4 inch air hose, with basic quick-cnnect ends on it, NOT bulky reinforced anti-bend extensions, etc, which interfere with control of the tool. any ideas are apprecaited

A: Air hose leads are 3 feet long purchase 2 of them.
Self coiling hoses make work difficult
Hybrid softer PVC hoses easier to use.
Roll up any extra hose length you don't need and tie a rope around it.

A: Try using a 1/4” coiled hose. It is light to use Only problem is that the coils can get caught on things.

Answer This Question
A: It might be difficult to paint large areas with this pin nailer. I'd use a 16 gauge finish nailer at a minimum. When using a finish nailer the pressure should be turned up a little bit to about 120 psi but your pin nailer won't need more than 100. If you want to use a framing nailer like the pros use then you also won't need to go over 100 psi but you would probably need something bigger than a pancake style compressor to keep the pressure up without burning out the motor.

A: yes, nice case. BUT, i believe they could have REDESIGNED this case to hold a lot more nails; lots of blowmolded wasted space. could have had more depressions in it that held boxes of nails/pins
