Q:It appears this has three wires. A black, red and white lead. I am replacing one that has failed. My post lamp is fed by a 2 wire romex cable. No white neutral wire. How do you wire without a neutral wire?

A:  We would suggest that you consult a professional electrician for installation for this light fixture if you aren't able to wire it with what the photo eye requires.

          A:  Turns on within 5 to 10 seconds but the entire censor needs covering not just a finger on the light censor.

            A:  Mine turned off in 2 sec., that was One year ago. It’s completely dead now after a brief neighborhood power failure. Check the fuse box & try again. I’m  going to need a new post. Good luck.

              A:  Before I answer the question I will tell you how amazed I am at Home Depot's records. I have not purchased these for MANY years which says something about their longevity. The answer to your question is that if they are still selling the identical units the light comes on almost the moment you cover the sensor with your hand. Do know that this particular unit is specifically designed to install on the circumference of a post light.

                        A:  Rainwater infiltration below the lamp fixture is not our friend. Sealant of any outdoor variety may be big help.
