A:  Although we don't recommend doing this too often, the Infinity-Z actually has a release button on the bottom rollers that will allow you to release the door from the track and make some more space between the panels for cleaning. There are also tools on the market that are basically (for lack of a better description) a sponge on a stick. Some people will also use things that are long and flat (like a paint stirring stick) and wrap a cloth around it to access the space between the panels. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

A:  No - the Infinity-Z shower door is not a "bypass" style sliding door because the Infinity-Z configuration consists of only one sliding door and the other panel will be stationary. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

A:  DreamLine shower doors, tub doors, and shower enclosures are not designed for installation into molded acrylic/fiberglass shower surrounds and should not be installed into these types of openings because doing this will void the warranty and compromise the product. All DreamLine shower/tub doors and enclosures require solid finished walls (no pocket of dead space behind the wall), true 90-degree angles where the wall meets the threshold (corners cannot have a radius or curve), and finished walls that are at least as tall as the shower/tub door or enclosure (so that none of the glass or hardware sticks up above the walls). A:  The shower base that comes with this kit is the only component that will require direct-to-stud installation. After the base is installed, you will need to hang 1/2" backer board around the interior of the shower. After this is complete, you will trim the acrylic backwalls to fit the opening and then glue them to the backer board. A:  The drain location for the 36x60" left drain shower base that comes with this kit is set at 18" x 12". The model number for just the shower base is DLT-1136601, so if you search Home Depot's website for just this shower base, you will be able to view the technical drawings for the base in the photo slideshow to the left of the main product picture. The technical drawings will show all of the shower base dimensions including the drain location. A:  DreamLine SlimLine shower bases must be installed in a bed of sand-mix mortar. There is not any alternative installation method for installing a DreamLine shower base (such as using spray foam) and failing to install the base per the requirements in the installation manual will completely void the warranty. A:  The QWALL acrylic backwalls that come with this kit are not a direct-to-stud installation and installation will require you to glue the walls to backer board. They basically will take the place of tile. Grab bars can definitely be added to the walls, but most grab bars will require your contractor to put the proper wooden support behind the walls when they are building out the framework. As long as you have the proper wood support behind the walls for a grab bar installation, you can put something like that on the QWALL acrylic backwalls after they are installed. A:  We do not recommend attempting to cut the QWALL acrylic walls around a window. DreamLine only recommends cutting holes for plumbing fixtures (showerhead, shower controls, etc.) and trimming the walls to fit the opening space. We do not provide any instructions for cutting around a window, nor do we offer any sort of a trim kit to cover the rough cut edges of the panels.
