A:  The owner's manual only shows a 16" & 18" choice in Echo parts. However, Oregon shows a 20" Part# 37977 Combo chain and bar. It is the same gauge and pitch with 78 links. I was thinking about getting one but have not done so yet.

A:  I Wouldn't Recommend it

A:  yes But it will cut slower the biger bar will make the engine work harder

A:  You can, however; this is meant to be a compact saw for branch cutting and small tree clearing. If you are wishing something bigger I would recommend just stepping up to the next size saw. This saw is very capable for its design but like everything has limitations.

A:  No. Make sure you have the chain tension set correctly. The manual will explain. Chains stretch with use, especially when new, so you will have to take up the chain slack every so often.

A:  I cut down a small tree approximately 12 inches in diameter at the base. It worked well, almost got done and it stopped running, could not get it to restart. Returned to store.

A:  If by "blade" you are referring to the bar (the chain goes around it), yes. You will also need a new chain. If you don't know how to change them both, refer to your owner's manual or the Echo website. You should also check with your local Home Depot to see if they have classes in saw maintenance.

A:  Most hardware stores, Home Depot and others sell washers. You do not need a special one, just one that fits. The nut might be special, but not a washer.
