Q:Can the handrail be painted

A:  Hi Jasper. Yes, all of our aluminum handrails can be painted with metal purposed paints, however it does void the finish warranty. Also, I recommend purchasing an unpainted (raw) 24' piece as it will be easier to prime and paint.         A:  Hi Paul, The bronze round handrail "kits" are available in 3 ft. and 4 ft. lengths, however 6 ft. is the shortest handrail only" section we offer.             A:  Yes, the handrail from my memory meets all the ADA codes for all states. Remember the handrail is only going to be as strong as the brackets are and what the brackets are connected too (solid stud or solid block wall).

              Q:We have an outdoor stairways that goes around the corner (not exactly 90 degree corner). Per code we need to have returns. In order to get the white colored handrails most economically done for an 11 ft length and 9 ft length, I would understand that I need this 24 ft handrail, cut it to the needed sizes, use one corner piece, 6 brackets (3 on each rail), 2 return pieces (to connect on the end of rails) and whatever connection pieces and hardware I would need. Is that correct and what parts do you recommend? Or is there a better solution for that. Thanks.

              A:  Rafi, you are definitely on the right track. I would recommend looking at the 90 degree radius elbow (EZA585) or the 34 degree elbows (eza734) which can be cut down if necessary to make your bend at the stairs. The elbows also will accept the end cap (EZA410) to make custom returns when a wall is not present.                   A:  Great question. No, there is no difference between the Bronze handrail and Charcoal Bronze round handrail kits.
