A: The viewing windows light up, the actual vial doesn't have separate lights.

A: Yes all three vials light up. The first press of the button lights the center vial only. The second press of the button lights the two outer plumb lights at the same time. Pressing the button again lights the center level vial again and this process loops. Keep in mind that if the center level LED will be on, the outer plumb LEDs will be off. In other words, not all three lights will be on at the same time. Pressing and holding the button for several seconds turns the light(s) off. The lights will also time out after several minutes to prolong battery life.
