Q:How to connect to power drill. I don't see an adaptor in the kit

Answer This Question
A: My drill drivers have either a hex quick connect or a 1/2 chuck which is not big enough for the rod. I took a 2-1/2 long 5/16 x8 hex bolt & cut the hex head off with a reciprocating saw. Fits my drills & easily screws into the rod.

A: The rods connect to the power drill by putting in the chuck, the area that typically holds the drill bit.

A: Depending on the size of the vents, you'll probably have to work it around a little, but I think it would work fine. I used mine for my heating ducts.

Q:How to get the brush outside the vent? It?s stuck inside the vent, it?s broken. Thanks

Answer This Question
A: As I understood from University of YouTube, you put drill in the forward (tightening) setting as you push the brush up inside vent; then you KEEP the drill in the same forward setting (don't reverse it!) If you put drill in reverse, the brush disconnects

A: I had this same problem. There was no way to get it out without going under the house and disconnect the duct work. I do not recommend this product. The fiberglass extensions twisted so hard they are also permanently bent.

Answer This Question
A: You can buy 2 kit to get the extra 6 rods. But make sure you tape the rods together because if you used the power drill, the rods will get loose and may get stuck inside the vents.

A: As quite people reported, I do not recommend this product. Those rods were separated in the duct, but I was lucky to remove them easily as my house is just one level house and the vent was pretty straight on the first floor. I would rather use a professional service every 3-4 years. That’s what I have doing after the incident.

A: Yes it is, however never turn the drill in reverse because it can unscrew sections of the attachments up inside the flex tubing.

A: The poles are able to be extended by adding additional rods together but i would recommend taping the rods together to ensure they don't get detached while using it and getting stuck in the duct. My other recommendation is to try cleaning the duct from both ends, which should allow you to clean 24' of total duct with this product without additional rods.

A: Yes. But remember to always set the drill in clockwise direction. As if needing to drill a hole. This keeps the rods screwed together tight. Never reverse the drill direction (counterclockwise). Otherwise the rods will come unscrewed in the drier vent.
