Q:What type of cleaning products do you use on the Timber gray?
by|Jul 1, 2021

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your question. For glazed porcelain tile floors, sweep or vacuum regularly to remove dirt and gritty particles. Follow with a mop or sponge dampened with a neutral pH cleaner. If a cleaner is used, be sure the surface is rinsed thoroughly with clean water and dried. Tiled surfaces in your bathroom may require a more thorough routine cleaning because of a build-up of soap scum, body oils or hard-water stains. Use a clean, damp cloth, or sponge with a neutral pH cleaner, allowing it to stand about five minutes before rinsing and drying. Care and Maintenance information can be located on Timber Grey's product page. It is linked under Use & Care Manual. The Home Depot carries a selection of neutral pH cleaners such as brand Miracle.

Q:I was left with half a box of tile from a job completed a week ago in my bathroom. The information on that box is Timber Gray 6X24, Model: CHDEDST106X24, Shade: L40U4, Caliber: 4
Now I want to do the floor tile on my other bathroom and proceeded to buy two additional boxes of Timber Gray 6X24, but the information on those boxes is: Model: CHDEDST106X24, Shade: L40O2, Caliber: 2
Without opening the new boxes, I want to know how different these new tiles are to the ones I was left with AND if it is recommended that I mix these tiles. Please let me know (respond) at your earliest convenience.

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your question. The CHDEDST106X24 is the model number that designates the Timber Grey 6x24. The other two numbers starting with "L" are production lot numbers. In the flooring industry production lots are noted on all packaging. It is best for an installation to always have one consistent production lot. Florida Tile has a strict policy that an order shipping from our facility will contain all the same production lot. If there are multiple or add-on orders it is best to communicate that to the supplier. With that information the supplier can provide the same, or most similar, production lot for best shade and caliber consistency between the two orders. This is especially helpful if the orders will be installed in the same space. The lot numbers listed here do differ - L40U4, L40O2.
