A: This product is water resistant. In other words you could use it say in a gutter where you got occasional rain washing over it whereas it would not work in a fish tank where the tape especially The adhesive would be subjected To water constantly

Q:Will this work to seal a gap on the side of the bottom of my garage door. Obviously the door will open and close constantly...I wonder if the expansion will be flexible enough. The gap is not even and tapers towards the top.

Q:except for the adhesive side, do the other 3 sides need open space to fully expand?..I was thinking of using it in a inside corner so expansion could only take place on 2 sides...wondering if that would reduce overall expansion to something less than 1"...also what is the minimum gap needed for installation? I have a warped door frame and need to fill a gap that varies from 1/4" to 3/4"...thanks..

A: I used it on a door with similar situation. Mine had a gap of somewhere between 0.2" - 1". The gaps are gone, but the problem is that sometimes depending on temperature and humidity levels, it is very difficult to close the door. This tape is not very flexible enough to allow the door to close.

A: It’s not really made for around entry doors. It is going to expand in 3 directions other than the adhesive side.

A: no, it only expands in one dimension, but the foam tape could be applied side by side - 1/4 inch is probably the minimum for this tape.
