            Answer This Question

A:  Hello - Great question; we'd love to help! Leveling legs near each front corner of the refrigerator are adjustable. They firmly position the refrigerator and prevent it from moving when the doors are opened. View page 10 of the owner's manual for instructions here: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/9b/9b947646-0ac0-45a7-bb7b-1f1c34056f6e.pdf. We hope this helps! Enjoy your day. -Shayla@GEA

Q:How many watts per hour and surge rate on cycle start up?
              by|Jul 22, 2022

              Answer This Question

A:  Hi there - we're more than happy to assist with this question! While it's a tad difficult to break down wattage by hour, we can estimate that the running wattage is anywhere between 72 - 108 watts (can be up to 144 watts). We still highly suggest looking at the rating plate on your refrigerator for more detailed information. Also, if you plan on running the appliance off a generator, we strongly suggest checking out the "RUNNING AN APPLIANCE ON A GENERATOR" article on the GEA website for more information. If you need more help or clarifications, please reach out to us on social media so we can learn more about your situation. -- Hope this was helpful. Have a great one. - Pablo@GEA

Q:Since the beginning, the freezer door pops open when the fridge door swings shut. just had a repairman here and he says this is normal. I have never had this problem before on any other fridge I've had. Is anyone having the same issue???

                Answer This Question

A:  Installed one in our rental, and used it for 3 days after install. freezer door did not "pop open when fridge door swings shut" at any time in those 3 days.

                by|Apr 28, 2022

A:  Hi there, thanks for taking the time to ask. We can understand how this would be frustrating to deal with, especially since you mentioned you've never had this happen with past models. It's not unusual on a two-door refrigerator for one door to pop open when the other door is being closed. The refrigerator and freezer sections are connected by air channels to allow air to pass between them. Slamming or vigorously pushing a door shut forces air from one cavity into the other, often pushing the second door open. You are also free to take a look at an article on our website titled REFRIGERATOR - FREEZER DOOR POPS OPEN for some more information and tips to try. Hope this is helpful for you! Best wishes. -Michael@GEA
