They firmly position the refrigerator and prevent it from moving when the doors are opened. While it's a tad difficult to break down wattage by hour, we can estimate that the running wattage is anywhere between 72 - 108 watts (can be up to 144 watts). A:  Installed one in our rental, and used it for 3 days after install. freezer door did not "pop open when fridge door swings shut" at any time in those 3 days.

A:  Hi there, thanks for taking the time to ask. We can understand how this would be frustrating to deal with, especially since you mentioned you've never had this happen with past models. It's not unusual on a two-door refrigerator for one door to pop open when the other door is being closed. The refrigerator and freezer sections are connected by air channels to allow air to pass between them. Slamming or vigorously pushing a door shut forces air from one cavity into the other, often pushing the second door open.
