Answer This Question
A: Hello there - Thanks for asking us this great question! We're happy to help you with this. The pre and post filters of your system need to be replaced every 6 months. Replace them more often if they clog with sediment. Depending on the hardness of your water, the membrane cartridge may also need to be replaced. If your water pH is from 6.8-7.7, the membrane could last well over one year. If the water pH is from 8.5-10, the membrane may need to be replaced every 6 months. You can view more on this on page 20 of the use and care manual here: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/98/981ac156-82a9-43cb-872a-a50d840f8233.pdf. We hope this helps! A: Hello - We're sorry to hear your filter has leaked! This is certainly not what we'd want you to experience and would love to help. There are a few reasons for a leakage to happen. To reduce the risk of water leakage, we recommend viewing page 4 of the installation instructions here: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/9e/9e9258e0-2a7d-4cc3-bf83-758d4e4df63b.pdf. Q:How often must you change the reverse osmosis membrane?
by|Jul 12, 2022

Answer This Question
A: Hi! Thanks for reaching out. During normal operation the green light flashes when dispensing water. The reverse osmosis light is based on the actual measurement of the water quality. When the membrane's efficiency falls below 75%, the yellow/amber light will flash, indicating that it is time to change the membrane. The membrane should provide good filtration for approximately 3-5 years. More can be learned in an article on our website titled REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM - FILTER LIGHT IS ON - Hope this is helpful! If you have other questions, know that you're always free to reach out. All the best. -Michael@GEA
