A:  You can put them on a GFCI protected outlet that is not the actual GFCI outlet with TEST/RESET buttons.

A:  Mine work great. Like walking down movie theatre row in my hallway at night

A:  Yes, I put them on our bathrooms and garage GCFI outlets.

A:  No. Not the one with the test/reset buttons. But will obviously work on others that are on the GFCI circuit that do not have the reset buttons.

A:  The packaging and device for mine show only ETL certification, not UL.

A:  I believe the package says yes. I have had two in my hallways since moving into our new home 4 yrs ago. They were so easy to place, I did the installation & used another 4 for Christmas gifts to some tennis friends! Very pleased with mine.

A:  Not quite that simple. I turned off the circuit breaker as well.

A:  I replaced it w/o turning off the circuit after I installed the first one, no problem! Love them, added a few more.

A:  Yes, just remove the old cover and replace with the new one

A:  Yes and it uses very little power. I have 4 in my home.

A:  Absolutely.

A:  I believe it only works with the standard 110 volts.

A:  I don't think so. The face plate openings will not be large enough to accommodate a 240 plug.

A:  According to the package the unit comes in, it is only rated for 120V 60Hz .65W.

A:  Yes.

A:  Definitely Not!

A:  We have had two for going on 3 years now, I just replaced the ordinary outlet cover and have two continuous night lights, SO simple.

A:  No, however you can find the light switch plate - LED on the home depot web sight, order it and have it delivered.

A:  I think it would work only when the switch is on

A:  I do not have one installed on a switched outlet, but it should work because the contacts for the light contact the outlet, and the light only comes on when there is not enough light coming through the sensor. I have several and I am very pleased with them.

A:  I couldn't get it to work with a CGFI.

A:  I did not have a GFCI outlet just a standard one. Unfortunately, the one I purchased could not be signed with the holes for the installed outlet.

A:  Unfortunately, it does not work for switches. Yet, it is a great product for outlets. I have 5 throughout my house.

A:  Yes it will.

A:  Probably not. It appears to touch the wiring terminals between the screws. If the outlet is split then it?s missing the tie bar that this would touch for power. A creative person might find a way, though? wink, wink

A:  The tabs that make contact are offset, I believe towards the top. It your switched outlet is on the bottom I think it will work. The outlets in my house were old and the contact point was on center, so I replaced my outlets.
